The cozy home will blanket your in comfort from the moment you step onto the porch. Step inside let the warm toned wood floors throughout the home and plush couches in the living room welcome you in or stay outside a little longer and soak in the sun on the deck. Equipped with everything you need for a great DCL vacay, Campfire Cottage is the perfect home base. In the winter, relax in the living room as the stunning stone fireplace lights up the room as you watch the snow fall out the windows. In the summer, spend your days on and around the lake or hanging out in the huge yard. Wind out your days in the rocking chairs on the porch as you breathe in the mountain air before retiring to bed. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring, Campfire Cottage is the place to be! Book today!

Lake Access is located about a half mile from the home at the end of Glenlake Road. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

This home comes with free access to the Community Aquatic Recreation Center (CARC)! This fitness and wellness complex, located in the central Deep Creek Lake area, offers a modern gym and a full-size indoor pool. The free CARC membership is available to all guests in the home for the duration of your stay, up to the home’s full occupancy.

Much needed vacation

I booked this property specifically for the amenities that it included. Especially the hot tub which I was excited to use following a surgery I had a few months ago. Once we arrived, on our first day, I opened the hot tub to find that it was an orange brown color, and had not been cared for. I immediately called Riley vacations and informed them of this and they sent someone out while we were away from the home. Therefore we didn’t get the first days use of the hot tub and the second day the hot tub was still cold. I was extremely disappointed by this. The management company only offered me $100 due to this. The hot tub was not cared for prior to our arrival. I’m not sure that it wouldn’t be the same for another guest. Therefore, I would suggest booking another property and not using Riley vacations.

Our staff tries their best to make sure that all amenities are in working order for the rentals, however some things do fall out of our control and we do try to make amends as much as possible. Unfortunately a hot tub is considered an amenity and although we do all we can to ensure it is functional, it isn't a guarantee at the home. Overall we truly apologize for the loss of the hot tub and we truly hope we can have another opportunity to rent to you again in the future where I am confident we can provide a better rental experience. Campfire Cottage was a perfect quiet getaway my wife and I needed. It was very clean, it had all the kitchen items you needed from dishes to cutting boards. The location of this home was perfect for our family getaway. The dock was a very short walk and the swimming dock was perfect for our children. The location was in a quiet little cove which was perfect for young kayakers! The deck was large with comfortable outdoor furniture and the yard was great for little ones to run. The furniture was in good condition and comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the quiet neighborhood and everyone we ran into was very friendly and welcoming. The house was very clean upon our arrival and there had been an issue before our arrival with the hot tub that was handled quickly and didn’t impact our stay. There were a few minor quirks/upkeep issues (peeling exterior paint, broken floorboard in hallway, weird electrical cords and power strips running across the floor in the living room), but otherwise great home and location. I highly recommend for a young family that wants a quiet vacation close to the lake!

This is a great house! We loved the location, privacy, hot tub and the layout of the home. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed to cook out, enjoy a fire pit, and relax in the hot tub. It was also close to deep creek lake state park, and the lake access dock was easy to walk to, and if you have a boat or kayak it is perfect.

Spent a week at the Campfire Cottage for a birthday trip. This house is in a quiet location but Deep Creek restaurants and shopping just minutes away. The house had everything we needed to prepare meals and since the weather was still chilly very much enjoyed the gas fireplace. The furniture was comfortable and loved the large porch and deck. Nice large washer and dryer too. Can't wait to come back!

We stayed here as a small group for a wedding at Red Barn Inn down the road. Not only was it convenient to the property as advertised, it was clean, had a great stock of kitchen appliances, and a wonderful hot tub! The views and tranquility were also wonderful. Would rent again!

I called on water on Saturday and at early checkout hopefully someone gets back on experience. The others who stayed felt the same.

Water issues are definitely something that needs to be resolved quickly if possible. We are disappointed that's not the experience you had after you called the Customer Service line. We will take a look at your survey for more specific details about the trouble you were having with the water, and we will pass your comments on to the homeowner and maintenance so the problem can be resolved. Most of the homes in the Deep Creek Lake area are on wells and not public utilities, and sometimes that can make for a tricky water solution. Overall great experience. I would recommend the cottage as well as the rental company to others. Lovely building and location. I had an issue with the hot tub and it was fixed promptly so that our group enjoyed that service over the weekend.

Wonderful getaway weekend for the family! Campfire cottage is delightful. Well equipped, comfy furnishings and super cute. Great location (close to restaurants and parks), short stroll to the lakefront dock and huge firepit to gather at night. We will be back!
