Sleeping up to 16 guests, Sunnyside Up has everything you need for an all-hands family stay. Cook meals together in the spacious kitchen with breakfast bar, embrace your competitive side with a few rounds of pool, and spend chilly winter evenings together watching a movie in the entertainment room located in upper level the detached garage. If that wasn't enough to keep you busy, you’re also just minutes away from adventures in Deep Creek Lake State Park and less than 10 minutes aways from the area’s top restaurants and shops. Second year for family of 8 adults and 7 children (up from 6 last year) at SunnySideUp! Plenty of room. Large, flat yard was great for ball games of various kinds. Lots of fishing action for small kids on the dock. Increased amount of lake weeds this year curtailed swimming off the dock but we all had a wonderful time at SuunySideUp again!

We enjoyed the quiet cove setting and views. The house was mostly as pictured except a couple bedrooms were actually smaller than the pictures looked. It was clean and the kitchen is spacious.

This is the second time we have stayed at Sunny Side Up. It is the best property that has 6 bedrooms and is lakefront that Railey rents out. We will get it again for next year. Everyone was very comfortable and relaxed.

Just like last year we had a wonderful stay at Sunnyside Up. We can't praise this rental enough. Perfect location right by the lake on a quiet cove, with a large lawn. The house has everything you need. It is very clean too. We are a three generation family of 12, age 2 1/2 to 70, and everyone could find something to do. I can go on and on about this rental. As soon as we can book the house for next year, we will.I also like to praise Railey Vacation for their excellent service. We had a minor issue with the hot tub, and the day after I e-mailed them about it, Amanda came out and took care of it. She was super friendly and explained everything to us.

This house is amazing. Super clean and perfect for families with young children. We were 12 people age 69 to 19 months, 3 generations, 7 adults and 5 kids. Besides being so clean and in excellent condition, it had everything you would need. Well stocked kitchen, good quality towels, hot tub, nice deck with plenty of seating, fire pit, almost flat back lawn, by a quiet cove of the lake with your own large dock. It also has a converted garage with a pool table, poker table, large TV and sofas upstairs and more. A perfect hang out for our sons and grandsons in the evening.A few things need to be addressed. The two gas grills need to be cleaned and fixed. One grill couldn't be used at all, the other my son tried his best to clean so we could grill. The king size bed on the main floor needs a center support to prevent it from sagging in the middle. We have already booked another stay here for next year.

Amazing week in the perfect location

The star of this house is its location on the lake coupled with its backyard - they both go hand in hand. Much of the lakefront shoreline of Deep Creek Lake is rocky and steep with lots of stairs to get down to the water. We have son with a physical disability and needed a home with a flat, grassy backyard for easy access to the lake. This house certainly delivers that. The backyard was perfect for games and very well shaded from the sun throughout the day. Also, this area of the lake is calm with little boat traffic. It is a very safe place for the kids to swim right off the dock, and the adults were able to easily float and have happy hours on the water without being rocked over into the water. We have rented nicer houses from Railey in the past, but whatever this house gave up to other rentals, gave back twofold in its location. We thought before arriving that the separate play area and TV loft area would be perfect for the kids, but they rarely used it. There was a strong musty odor in that building, and they didn't really want to be in a different structure too much. It would be better as a basement. Overall though, the house itself was exactly as advertised - we were all very satisfied and would rent this home again.

Just having all our kids and grandkids together once a year at Deep Creek Lake, is a tradition we started 3 years ago. We are a family of 12, age 19 month to 69, from Maryland and Ohio. Sunnyside Up is the best place we have stayed at. The house is super clean and located right on the lake with a nice flat lawn and a dock. It’s located in a very quiet cove. Kitchen had everything you need, towels were high quality etc.. The extra space in the converted garage, was great. It had a pool table and other games on the first floor, and upstairs was a large sitting area and a poker table. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We will be back next year.

Great place for multiple families!

This house is accurately represented on the website - I would say it's better in-person. The common area (kitchen, eating area, living room) has a really great flow for 3 families (6 adults/7 kids). It never felt tight. The kitchen is well-appointed to accommodate 6 BRs worth of people - it's very wide so many people can be in the space at once, it has two sinks and two dishwashers. The second building is fantastic as a second common area - good for kids to hang out or for adults to break off. The house was recently redone and they did a great job! I could see them needing to update the bathrooms in the future to align with the house, but they were perfectly fine. They paid attention to all the details. And the house is super close to the water, it's really pretty! Great place.

We had a great time as this was our first time visiting Deep Creek and have already begun talks on planning another trip. Our initial reservation was to host 4 families totalling 15 people. Two of those families couldn’t make it. Although the house can accommodate 16 for sleeping, it couldn’t accommodate that many people gathering in one common area comfortably. We had planned meals around the fact several gas grills were provided, both grills hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time and would have taken a great amount of time to attempt to clean ourselves. The utility sink was dirty, the wet mop head was left the sink and dirt from the bucket hadn’t been rinsed out. Those items wouldn’t stop us from renting again. The drive to the WISP if planning to tube or ski is only a 15 commute.

Spent a beautiful weekend in October at Sunny Side Up. Loved the kitchen and had a great deck and fire pit area. Only complaint was the bunk bed room was warm and stuffy in October. Imagine it would be too hot to be comfortable for sleeping in the summer.

Sunnyside Up is a great house and perfect location for a family vacation. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The indoor and outdoor living spaces are large and the area was very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing! Our family enjoyed hanging on the dock from sun up to sun down. A week was not enough time to enjoy all that you can do at Deep Creek Lake.

There was something to do for everyone in our family of 12--even on rainy days. The cove is lovely and quiet. The dock is well-maintained and the property is level and perfect for outdoor games.

We had a lovely one-week stay at Sunnyside Up in July 2021. The house itself is extraordinary. We particularly enjoyed the spaciousness of the open concept first floor, the extremely functional kitchen (we loved that there were crock pots and a blender and plenty of other kitchen ware), and--obviously--the lake, dock, deck, hot tub, and fire pit. The amenities here are endless. We would visit the home for this reason alone. The house struck us as unfinished in terms of decor. The couches are pilly and uncomfortable, and the bed linens should also be updated for comfort. (The quilt comforters are very stiff and do not provide any warmth.) The bench for the long kitchen table was already stained when we got there, and some of the handles on the bedroom dressers were dangling off the hinges. In terms of interior design, some updates are definitely in order. With that said, this house is beautiful and none of the interior decorating issues impeded our fun. We strongly recommend staying here--whether as a smaller or larger group. It was a priceless experience that we will not forget.

Sunny Side Up is a beautifully renovated home with a fully equipped kitchen and beautiful views of the lake. Having a private dock to swim from was a real treat! We will certainly consider staying here again.
